heath ledger as the Joker
According to Christian Bale even considering that Heath Ledgers role as the joker contributed to his death is ridiculous.
Bale rubbished the speculation in an interview with Total Film, saying: “It’s not for me to tell anybody or to pretend to have insights beyond what I absolutely know, but my instincts are that the idea Heath was disturbed by playing The Joker is ridiculous.
“Heath was somebody who, like myself, acted for that immersion in a character. It’s not an unusual thing. And from working with him and knowing him, I don’t think that was unusual for him at all.” [The Gawker via DigitalSpy via OhNoTheyDidn’t]

Ledger, who died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January, was urged to seek help by crew on The Dark Knight after he reportedly became too involved in his character.”
He was such a nice looking guy, that I need to balance out out the picture of Heath in Character with just Heath.

What is a accidental overdose. Is that the
same thing as I accidentally drank too much.
Both can happen in earnest… and in the end it is really not important - he prematurely dead. How it happened is less relevant.

I saw dark night a few days ago and thought it was an absolutly brilliant film. One of my friends told me that ‘apparently’ Heath had locked himself up for like three weeks in order to get the joker role right. This could’ve drove him nuts, but to be fair, he played that role so well! I personally dont think playing the joker screwed him over. Maybe he thought he’d not taken his pills when he had so had them again? To be honest i think he died before his time, and R.I.P Heath.
I just heard and my heart is sincerely broken as such as my mother died so suddenly from an accidental overdose to Morpine, what a loss of such beautiful, talented, wonderful human beings My heart so hurts for he, and his loved ones, fans and family! There are no words to console. My 9 year old just found and lost her “first CRUSH ” as I just introduced her to Keith’s movies days prior to his death. I feel in denial. Much love and blessings to Keith’s family and to himself. Love you, tho not knowing you personally, my mom is gone with you the same way and will guide you and you family. Please let myself be guided the way on earth. For my babies. Love and god bless

You know the Joker’s immortal now that Heath Ledger’s dead.
Think about it - he didn’t die in the film and now they can’t make another one.
it is time for a new version of the riddler if you ahve heard the rumour that johnny depp will be in the next bat man it is true, he will be THE RIDDLER.

BULL SHIT…nobody even has announced a new Batman…i personally think your full of crap ….but…..i think it would be totally sick nasty if Johnny was the new Riddler…me and my bro were just talking about how kickass that owuld be…..and i refuse to beleive that heath is dead….they’re just gonna keep him in the films and say its somebody else…hes just on some island somewhere that nobody knows where he is….its a conspiracy…..
all i say is kurt cobain from nirvana killed himself and i think it was dumb, he is dumb leaving his beautiful daughter, she might kill herself too since her main role model did it, why not… this guy takes drugs… ODs… i am only sad he did not stop before it got to late… but you play with fire you get burnt… anyone who wants to leave there family heart broken just take drugs or drink stupid… its a chance sure to do anything but when there is warnings higher then driving fast on the freeway… think about it yourself… if you hate yourself go get help, dont lie to your family and friends and then leave them like this, selfish… this hurts too many people… anyone can be smarter !!!
i think heath ledger is a awesome actor and i am really sad that he died……..i just hope they don’t try to bring the joker back b/c it would not be the same if it wasnt heath ledger playing him……and personally i think that IF he killed himself that he would have to be screwed up before he took the role of the joker and then the role of the joker just pushed him all the way off the edge and he OD…..it’s a terrible loss and he will be missed……btw The Dark Knight was aaaamazzzzing and The Joker was my favorite character…….R.I.P Heath Ledger……
As with many ‘hyper-talented’ people, he had demons, I hope his friends and family have found some peace over the last year…..

I Say that the dark knight was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and it would not have been such a big hit if It weren’t for heith. R.I.P
I belive that he was an innocent man using pain meds and when mixed with any type of booze (beer, wine. ect….it basicaly is like doing laudmum an old pain med where they used morphine and wiskey to take away the pain. Given the purity of morphine in the 1800’s alot of people just did not know the real deal of that drug combo. I personally feel the man just did not know how maybe beer and pain meds can and do kill unwitting people. I take morphine every day and drank 2 cans of beer and almost killed myself. So if on pain meds. do not drink even a glass of wine or beer for it will kill you. forgive my spelling but I am just saying from doing that myself. Thank God my wife knew what to do. RIP Heath…..a real actor!!
