I know this isn't the group I should be posting this query too but since it is so busy I beleieve that I would get a fast response to my question.
When I was speaking to my ex-boyfriend via MSN messenger recently. I had noticed that someone had added me to their contact list. When I told my ex-boyfriend this he thought it could be his ex-girlfriend. He
thought that she had took a copy of the key's to his house and had a look on his computer while he was at work.
What I want to know is that since I don't have a profile for this username is there any other way that someone could have known about my username through other methods. I am finding this very strange as I downloaded MSN messenger to speak to my ex-boyfriend and have no other contacts on my list apart from him.
Thanks in advance

Depending on a couple of things... I know that my (older) version of Messenger allows people to see who is 'on'. Perhaps it was that way? I haven't used it in a long time, so haven't downloaded the new Messenger, so am not aware if that is still an available option. Don't you have to agree to be added? I know Yahoo's is that way, someone can't add you if you decline being added or adding them to yours.

I have people on MSN constantly adding me to their list when I don't know them. I don't approve them when the window pops up asking me to.
