Oh Man....how freakin' weird is all this. They released PICTURES of a private birthday party and gave the story to People !?!?!?!

If anyone had the slightest doubt that these two morons are in it for the press, this should remove all question!! Who does that? Couldn't he just give the girl a private party without feeling the need to splash it all over the news media? Is this the kind of press we can expect from his new publicist? How can Katie possibly feel this is a 'normal' situation? Come on! In all the years Cruise was with Kidman and Cruz, I never saw anything like this. He SEEMED to keep some sort of privacy for himself and his family, but this.....UGH!

All I can say is Cruise and Holmes are now OFFICIALLY the two biggest media whores I've ever seen. In the past, I couldn't have cared less what they put out there (with the exception of the Scientology shit), but now I'm hoping there's a HUGE backlash against these two. I'm

You know what Little Princess? this appearing in People didn't even shock me. They've done every single thing publicly, this is not a relationship between 2 people, it is a relationship between them and the entertainment programmes and magazines. He has certainly thrown the privacy book out, ever since this started, he hasn't protected his family one bit. For the past weeks, Entertainment Tonight has featured Cruise talking about MI3, his wedding , birth, etc. He is on every single day, I just fastforward when they get to his part. I don't get the fascination with these 2. It isn't as if the press they get is good, they've featured on a tackiest couple, PR blunder lists and still they persist. Go figure. There really is no need for a backlash, it isn't as if the media as a whole are clamouring to wrap them in the golden couple shawl, is it? and I bet that title is exactly what he is gunning for, for them to be called the 'Golden couple', he is so transparent that it isn't funny. If Holmes thinks American girls are jealous then she got the wrong Cruise, people are so over this one.

I'm sure you're right defiant. I guess it just threw me because everywhere they've been photographed has been at public events. It atleast gave the ILLUSION that it was coincidental that they were photographed. His movie. Her movie. The Oprah appearence (don't even get me started on that one). Shopping with family and caught by the paparazzi. It LOOKED like they were just getting caught. Even those relentless soccer games. It seemed he was supporting his child and the most gullible of his fans might beleive it was just that. But this was a private event and there was just no need to invite the press. It was just so overt and in your face that I was shocked by that. It's just so ham-handed and OBVIOUS. How the hell did her family deal with it? No wonder they're barely seen with 'the couple'.

I thought (silly me) with the new press agent, they might be more subdued and Cruise might be reined in. I thought he might have learned his lesson with all the negative reaction to this past summers fiasco. Fat chance. It's worse than ever now. As if he's working REALLY HARD to present himself and the relationship as the perfect relationship and the perfect family. It leads me to believe that Cruise's publi-sister took the fall for his PR blunders, when it was his doing all along. What's with Paul Bloch. He should know better.

We know they're not the 'Golden Couple'. The press knows. The real world knows. They just don't seem to know and one has to question his motives for inviting the press in like this. Even the most ardent of fans. I would like nothing better than to see this blow up in his face even more than it already has. He needs to take an even bigger fall. If this next movie is a hit, I'm going to scream!!
