It says he was arrested previously for child molestation but acquitted by jury. Damn.

I *just* saw his mom on TV making these very statements. She was peeking from out of her door. She is utterly clueless. I think she's freaked. Why else would she blatantly *lie*? She even sounded like a liar, like every word she was saying was forced and contrived. She should have just stayed in the house.

Yes, that's why I thought the quote was interesting. Unless she is referring to a conviction, rather than an arrest, record. And if she means by 'he hasn't been through this before' that he's never been through a murder investigation before, rather than another kind of criminal investigation, which obviously he has experienced before.

I think she just doesn't know what her son's been accused of, ever. Kind of like Angela Ricci not noticing that her husband was stealing things and robbing banks.

In Sunderland, Mass., Samantha's biological father, Derek Jackson, mourned her Thursday at a news conference from his home.

'I will always stay connected with her. She will live in my heart when I wake up every day,' Jackson said. 'I love her dearly. I miss you, Samantha.'

Jackson also offered advice to other parents.

'Please watch your children. Every second, don't let them out of your sight, especially now,' he said.

My understanding is that he was raising 2 sons (teens) from a previous marriage/relationship and that he had made arrangements to move to California after the youngest son finished school next spring, and that Samantha and her mother had lived in the east and Samantha's mother moved her to California. I read this elsewhere so I can't be sure of the validity.
