Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne has taken on the responsibility for her teen son Jack's drug and alcohol problems.
Jack, 17, recently entered a rehabilitation clinic in California after his drug and alcohol abuse rose to overwhelming levels. And Sharon, wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, refuses to blame the success of her family's hit reality TV show, which also stars her 18-year-old daughter Kelly.
Sharon says, 'After doing a lot of research and talking to an awful lot of people and being in the rehab with Jack and other kids whose parents aren't in the limelight at all - what do they blame?'
'I don't blame the rock 'n' roll lifestyle. I blame me. You get caught up in the BS, and I did, of, 'Oh, your mom's really cool. She's really easygoing.' I should have had more boundaries. I should have had more structure for Jack.'
Sharon says she's has now added some structure to Jack's life. She explains, 'He's feeling right now that he's got no pressure on him at all. And he can be a kid. And he's with kids his own age. He doesn't have to be anything but Jack.' (WENN)

it wise to say:
What about Kelly, she's next in line for a good boot to the ass and some rules.

I'm glad she's finally figured this out. Now...if she got the kid back in school, that would be a true positive step.

Damn, THAT'S refreshing, someone in H'wood actually taking responsibility for their screwed up offspring.
Based on the few episodes I watched, I'd have to agree with Mrs.Osbourne; those kids need structure and discipline, hopefully Jack's getting it before it's too late.
I honestly don't 'get' these screwball parents who run around with the, 'I want to be my kids' Best Friend' mentality. News Flash!, your kids will make & lose friends throughout their lives, but they've only got one set of Parents - act like it.
If parents want 'Friends', walk a few houses down the street and introduce yourselves to a new set of neighbors, don't shirk your parenting responsibilities of instilling a core set of values and discipline within your children - your kids NEED 'Parents', not another set of 'friends'.

No truer words ever spoken. Most of the lousy parents I know are too lazy and selfish to work at good parenting. When the kid demands, they buy him off.
I believe a lot of people have children because that's the thing people do at a certain age, like owning a certain make of car, and not because they truly want to love, nurture and discipline a kid.

I always tell my stepchildren that I'm their (step)parent now and their friend when they move out.

They're a little old and self-supporting to start now, but Kelly is the real problem. I don't think I could stand to be in the same room with her for very long. I agree with Jack...she's all about drama.
