Did anyone else see his live performance last night? What did you think?
Myself, I realize that he was reusing some material, grafting in bits of other younger comics, and he outright stole a couple lines from older comics, but I laughed until my head hurt. The funniest stuff was early on, with his commentary on George II, Michael Jackson, and other current events, I thought.

In a moment of deep existential despair, Phoenix
and unjust God:
He was hilarious, even though he's nowhere near as far-out as he used to be. He does a much more straightforward comedy act, now, unlike his younger days when he would go off on wildly insane improvised tangents. I still laughed myself silly, watching him, as did my mom and stepfather; the latter was in a fetal position in his chair by the time Williams finished his proctological bit :^)

I agree, thought he was very funny and laughed out loud a number of times... But then, I've always been a huge fan of his.

His 'black woman' stuff doesn't work anymore, if it ever did...

Oh great, we're now in one of those 'my tastes are superior to yours! I'm right and you're not' threads. Let's get over it, shall we, comedy is about the most subjective form of entertainment there is. If you don't find it funny, there's almost no way of explaining WHY it's funny to those who aren't laughing. Williams is almost always hilarious imho, whether he's swearing or not...his HBO special was not for prudes, that's for sure.
