OT: Researchers Find Barbie Is Often Mutilated

I hated dolls when I was a kid.

My mom and dad got me one and I was more interested in horses. I was so mad I didn't get a horse, I hung Barbie in the closet with ketchup on her face. My mom's scream was worth it <eg>

Be careful how you treat Barbie, Ken, and GI Joe dolls now. Some of them could be worth a great deal of money. Of particular interest to doll collectors are Barbies from the 50s, and the first Skipper doll that was released. The first GI Joe action figure is also worth a small fortune.

Some Barbie clothes and accesories are also worth money, if in very good condition, preferably still in the original boxes. (This is true of the dolls, too)
