Hi,

I'm looking for some suggestions on good Hollywood gossip books. I know one came out a year or so ago, but can not think of the name.

out the following:

Some older ones I like are 'Hollywood Babylon,' and 'Flesh and Fantasy' (which is huge - coffee table size - but I found a used copy cheap & really enjoyed it). Don't know the name of the recent one. Now I'm curious, too! hths.

One of my favorite older books is 'Inside Warner Brothers,' a collection of correspondence from the studio files. I felt a bit like I was sneaking into the offices at night, going through the files, checking out the wastebaskets, as I read it. Lots of material on the 'Golden Age' stars.

I should probably be too ashamed to admit I have the National Enquirer coffee table book, but it *is* fun.

maybe not a gossip book, per se, but 'you'll never eat lunch in this town again' is an interesting read on the inside workings of hollywood (from a doped up producer's point of view). it's not recent, so die-hard gossip lovers in this ng have probably already read that one.

If you're interested in some juicy gossip on Pamela Harriman, read LIFE OF THE PARTY: THE BIOGRAPHY OF PAMELA DIGBY CHURCHILL HAYWARD HARRIMAN by Christopher

Oh it's a gossip book alright. Good juicy gossip. I'm sure Julia Phillips lost plenty of friends after that book was published.

Have both and love 'em - and don't forget HB2 with that unforgettable photo of the Black Dahlia. There was a really good one by Jeannette Walls a year or two ago.

I liked 'You'll Never Make Love In This Town Again'. The follow up, 'Once More With Feeling' was good, but I enjoyed the first one alot more.

Didn't Julia write a sequel to the book some years later?
