True. But my amazement comes at the fact that he's a well-known stiff and yet people keep getting hired to do work for him or they keep working for him or they extend him credit. When, exactly, does the law say, 'ENOUGH!' and throw him in debtor's prison? And when do all the greedy feebs of the world catch on that Wacko should always pay *cash in advance*. Now a hotel in Las Vegas is claiming he stiffed them for over a 1/2 mil. Yes, folks, a 1/2 million dollars *or more*. (I think it's closer to 3/4 of a mil but I have trouble believing it.)

How many people read the police report of the paper and see people serving time for writing bad checks for two or three digit amounts?

It could be all 'handshake deals'. The hotel-bill could be taken to court but someone who just claims that they have done some work for him without some acctual papers will find it tougher to get paid. His helpers are probably all thinking either that working for MJ would be their 'big break' or they spend their working hours kissing his ass and ripping him off when he turnes around. He seems to attract both types. If MJ belives that he is worth about *a billion dollars*(maybe in yen) then he doesn't know much about his his financial status and that would explain why he lives a lifestyle he can't possible afford anymore.
