MACY GRAY FUMES OVER PUNK'D SCHOOL

MACY GRAY was infuriated to hear her new Los Angeles music academy building was contaminated with black mould - only to discover she was the latest celebrity to be fooled by ASHTON KUTCHER's hit US TV show PUNK'D.

The I TRY singer was stunned when she arrived at her Macy Gray Music Academy to find that the building had been covered with a tent. After enquiring, she was informed that the walls posed a danger to the young children who had enrolled to go there.

And she became particularly upset after a potential investor decided against putting $250,000 (£138,000) behind the project when he learned of the problem.

But things got out of hand when Gray realised that the men had arrived at the wrong address. It was only as she embarked on an expletive-laden and violent rant at the foreman of the site that she eventually learned it was all a hilarious set-up.

I've always felt Punk'd was treading a very thin line and it was only a matter of time before someone got seriously injured or had financial loss (such as in Macy's case) that resulted in a potential court case. I too hope she sues and Kutcher has to write her a check for $250K.

I have not watched it recently because while initially I thought it was pretty funny (at least from my vague recollection in the beginning, it was pretty harmless with episodes about people being annoying in a restaurant for example). Then I remember it evolving to smashing someone's car( oh how clever it was really a look alike car)... I mean how many people would stay calm with that one. I was surprised that the 'punked' did not really loose it with the 'pranksters'. I do wonder from the description with the Macy Gray episode which I did not see, if the person withdrawing the 250K was also just a set up to add drama to it. And while we're at it, I have to say I probably also tired of watching it when I rarely knew who the big celebrity was who was getting punked!

Maybe because it's not funny.
