Scarlett: Customs confiscated my dress by HENRY MELLER, Daily Mail
Given the hoo-ha which surrounded her last appearance on the red carpet, it might have seemed Scarlett Johansson had decided to tone down her appearance. As the actress arrived for the British premiere of Match Point, gone was the figure-hugging look which brought so much attention ten days ago in Los Angeles. And in its place was a demure and elegant navy Dolce & Gabbana dress.
The 21-year-old's more conservative attire was not her decision, however - but down to the intervention of fussy customs officials.
'I didn't plan to wear this dress. The one I wanted to wear was flown in today but it was confiscated by British customs,' she explained.
Miss Johansson admitted the show-stopping dress she had worn for the film's U.S. premiere had not won over its director, Woody Allen.
to wear the white wrap dress I wore in the film all the time.'
Miss Johansson was attending her third premiere for Match Point, in which she plays a woman who captures the heart of a professional tennis player.
But yesterday's event in Leicester Square was a homecoming of a kind for the cast - the film was made on location in London.

Let's see, how many ways can she get her name and bodiced bod and pucker face into the papers? They're even recycling stories with slightly different twists in order to double dip.
Here's a new one for her in case they've run dry and are in a panic for something to feed the tabs:
'Scarlet Coughs Up Hair Ball On Red Carpet!'

Maybe she thought the rules did not apply to her and thought they would slip it through without making her declare it.

Sometimes customs officials just get a bit excited about their own power. I have had a severe talking to from Australian customs agents over my 'illegal importation of food items', and had my illegal item confiscated. My illegal item? A little snack sized pack of M&M's that had become lost in the bottom of my handbag. I had taken (and declared) the same candy in and out of Australia many times before and after that incident with no trouble. Except for that one time ...
eggs (International Candy Runner).

I just had to say that, because of the way my OE newsreader's columns are set up, I read this subject line as 'Johansson: Customs confiscated my eggs.'
It was kind of cute.
