Jennifer Connelly couldnt take Russells bad manners

Jennifer Connelly is still fending off questions about Russell Crowe. Connelly admits in the new issue of Vanity Fair that Crowe's manners were a bit lacking when they met on the set of 'A Beautiful Mind.'

But time passed and the surly Gladiator grew 'very sweet and polite.' Asked by interviewer Michael Shnayerson if she and Crowe fell in love offscreen, she says simply, 'I'm not in the market. I have a boyfriend.'

Indeed, it was Crowe's co-star Paul Bettany who ended up winning her.

'He's a remarkable person,' she says of the British actor, who played John Nash's imaginary roommate.

Connelly calls her beau a 'good, kind, beautiful person' with a 'really cute accent,' before having second thoughts about revealing more about her love life.

'I suddenly really want a smoke,' she says. 'I'm going to smoke out the window because you're pestering me so much with the boyfriend thing.'

Thanks for this post. But upon re-reading the quotes from Connelly, she never technically says she and Bettany are boyfriend and girlfriend. She just compliments him. Just the article calls him her 'beau,' but nothing else indicates they are together. Any more sources?

How's this for a source? Paul Bettany was on Entertainment Tonight a few weeks ago and he confirmed that he Jennifer are a couple. His words were something like 'Jennifer and I are a couple and we're very happy together.' It's common knowledge that they're together. They're not hiding their relationship.

Paul Bettany was recently on extra promoting his newest film and was asked whether they were dating. He responded yes and joked that he was wearing her underwear (at least I think it was joke). They also showed a picture what they said is the couple kissing, but the faces weren't visable so it is not really that easy to say. Oops. This is the interview I was thinking about. I got the two shows mixed up. It was on Extra (not Entertainment Tonight as I previously stated) that Paul confirmed that he and Jennifer are a couple.

Plus all the tabloids have had pics of them hugging and kissing.

They've been dating for the past few months so it's kind of old news. It's been reported in the celebrity media long before it was confirmed by Paul. I'm sure there are many people who don't know that they're dating, but it's common knowledge to people who are regular readers of gossip columns and message boards like this.

Bettany admitted to their relationship on the Craig Kilborn show. They've been spending as much time together as possible. He also said something about moving to New York and I figured it might be because Jen lives there (doesn't she?)

yes she lives in the West Village. I've seen her picking her son up from school a couple of times (not recently since she's in L.A.) . She's strikingly beautiful in person.

What! i thought Paul Bettany and Nicole Kidman were an item not so long ago? I can't keep up with all these celebrity romances. Each on seems to be a smokescreen for some other relationship. They're all a bit incestuous aren't they?
