Most artists of today simply can not sing without resorting to gimmicks. Because of that, when someone like Gideon comes along, he/she is dismissed as not with the times and therefore not worthly of respect and appreciation of the talent they have.

Currently that would be Ne-Yo, Sean Paul, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, T-Pain, Nelly, Chris Brown, Dem Franchize Boyz and Natasha Bedingfield.

For the Hot 100, Kelly is the only one to do it for a uear.

Kelly Clarkson successfully did it for a full year on the Hot 100 and Pop 100 Charts, Ruben Studdard successfully did it for a full year on the R&B and Gospel Charts , Fantasia Barrino successfully did it for a full year on the R&B and Urban Music Charts.
