It's a poorly-constructed analogy. Tookie WAS directly involved in forming The Crips, while most white people were not involved in slavery (when considering both the north and south).

No. Blaming all white people for slavery is more like blaming all blacks for The Crips.
Blaming Tookie Williams for The Crips is more like 'blaming' co-founder William R. Hewlett for the Hewlett-Packard company.
I assume you mean the actor Danny Glover. Can he really be that dense? If so, he needs to find a tree with a clue stick to go bark at.
