I think he's still claiming 5'10 or 5'11. I've never been sure. It's entirely possible he's built more like me and may look shorter than he is (e.g. legs aren't as long as someone his height otherwise might have, longer hips, proportional torso). Still, I don't buy 5'11. He's not as tall as Brad Pitt, who himself isn't quite 5'11 in reality. Not hard to fudge a few inches.

IMDB lists him as 5'7, and IMDB is often too generous. It's probably right in his case, though, otherwise I imagine someone would've 'fixed' it.

5'7, though I think that was in his younger days.

IMDB lists him at 5'9.5, but I've seen him listed as 5'6 or 5'6.5 from numerous sources.

True, but then 70-80% of all men are (depending on which of her heights you use), much more if you put her in heels.

FWIW, a 5'8' friend sold Tom some linens once a long time ago at some fancy bedding store she worked at. Said she towered over him, and she was wearing flats. No taller than 5'5' or 5'6'. Said he was a very nice guy, though.

I've never seen Willem Dafoe but I have seen the others around London (mainly at Leicester Square premieres). I always check out height (and especially if they're wearing boots with heels).

My guesstimates are:

Russell Crowe (seen him twice, he had boots with heels on both times) 5'8'-5'9' max

Mel Gibson had boots with heels on the time I saw him - he's 5'6'-5'7' max

Anthony Hopkins I've seen several times. No boots with heels, probably 5'8'. He looks shorter than he is (so does Crowe they both have stocky builds).

Tom Cruise I've seen several times (always with boots with heels), he's probably max 5'6'. Nicole Kidman's not that tall either, maybe 5'9' with flats.

5'9' is considered tall for a female.

If you're that short, it makes your thing look like it's down to your ankles..so, these guys are actually lucky.

Uh, they're like five and a half feet tall, they're not midgets.
