After complaints from some that Mandisa's number was unusually busy last week, while others were open, I thought I'd try an experiment.
I dialed all numbers and got through on the first ring - EXCEPT for Paris. The number for Paris has been busy for the last 45 minutes while all others are wide open!?! What gives???

The people on the americanidol.com boards noted the difficulty in reaching many numbers tonight. While numbers for some contestants (Taylor, Kelly, Chris) are wide open.

Usually this is the case for the last performer..........they always leave a lasting impression. Also it is easier to remember the last number to call when you see it before the show ends.

I key in the phone # for the first one I'm going to vote for and memorize the other 2 or 3 I plan to use. I'll dial the first # a few times by hitting redial and then when I'm ready for 2 or 3 I press redial and replace the last 1 or 2 #'s (I have a delete button my my phone that lets me replace the #'s from the end). But I did find that over an hour after the show was done there were still all circuits busy sounds on Ace, Kelly and Katherine (or is it Katharine?).
