Basinger/Baldwin Court Battle Over

Yeah - if it's that imporant, why wasn't he there? Especially since he's the one that brought her back to court.

I guess I interpreted this entirely differently than the rest of you. He filed, her attorney was quoted as saying that Kim respected the judge's actions (or some such thing), and he wasn't there - that adds up to me that he won, or that they negotiated a settlement that satisfied him more than her.. The only way he would be able to skip a hearing is if the paperwork was already signed - no judge would let him off the hook for listening to an order of the court that he was bound by.

I think Kim had to give on some of the stuff, and part of the agreement was (again) the silence to the media on who won.

Maybe he didn't attend to not upset Kim while she was forced to deal with a new custody arrangement. Baldwin showing up might have started a new battle, or led to a confrontation of tabloid proportions.

Yeah, well what about the needs of AGC? What's AGC to them, chopped liver? Maybe AGC needed a little holiday cheer and were counting on Basinger and Baldwin finally having it out once and for all in a crazed, scratching eyes out, scream-filled catfight on the steps of the LA Courthouse. But noooo....those self-centered bastards had to go and resolve this thing quietly and with a seeming smidge of decency at the end. Bah humbug.

(still, they have dragged this thing on for years of strident, bullheaded, confrontational bitch behavior from both sides, so maybe AGC should count its small blessings from these two.)
