Don't feel bad for Tamyra. I'm 100 percent sure that as soon as she steps through her front door her phone will be ringing off the hook with record deals. She truly has an amazing talent. American Idol was just a catalyst for her to showcase her talent - she's well on her way.

Simon Cowell's record company (S Records) has a deal with RCA Records to get first crack at any of the 10 American Idol finalists. The 10 finalists have to sign an agreement that they can't take offers from other record labels for a certain period of time after they leave the show. Simon already has a record deal ready for Tamyra. His label and RCA have the right to sign her before any other record label, and it's obvious that Simon wants to sign Tamyra regardless of her final placing in the contest.

William, you're absolutely right. Simon decided ages ago to sign Tamyra, regardless if she won the contest or not. He's made it clear that she's his favorite American Idol contestant.
