American Idol - Nicki is back!!!

See what happened when the show gave her a chance to sing in her range? She was incredible!

Tamyra let the first song dominate her. She stumbled badly on that. Her second song was brilliant, pure Tamyra.

Justin was slightly better than usual in the first song. The second song isn't that great, and he's overrelying on the bow-leg dancing and the mugging. What is that dancing? Does he have Charley Horse? Bad white man dancing. I'm praying he goes.

Kelly was the best tonight. She chose two very different songs to show her range, and nailed both out of the park. She needed to rebound after last week, and she certainly did.

I think Nicki and Tamyra will be bottom 2, Nicki goes.

It seemed to be drunken karaoke night in houston to me. but what do i know?

she has a great voice.

i'd have called in and voted for him if he'd have grabbed his crotch.

i thought she was a bit off on the first song, she flubbed the words a bit. she nailed the second song though. keeps getting better each week.

Nikki just doesnt have the vocal control required for the songs she sings - she doesnt have the wide range that she thinks she does - all of them will need a vocal coach before they hit the big time but Nikki needs it most (To work on Range and Control - etc.)

I have to agree, as I do with everyone else's comments that the musical style choices haven't fit her at all. Tonight she had a chance to sing something more akin to her style and she really shined.

As soon as they announced New Attitude my first thought was 'What was she thinking?!' Horrible choice of song. One of those songs that are more said musically rather than sung. Tamyra's 'You Really Got Me.' Horrible. She did brilliant with her second song, however.

He picks probably the worst Jackson song to sing. Everyone I knew back when Thriller was popular disliked that song. The dancing was lame and he was falling back on his 'I can do no wrong' attitude. No sooner had I commented to my wife that he didn't seem to be mugging the camera than he did.

Personally I would love to see Nikki beat him out this week and see him get voted off.

I'm still pulling for Kelly, but I didn't care for her first song, Its Raining Men. Its along the lines of New Attitude - a song thats spoken more than sung, but she still sang it and sang it well. She just seemed to be singing backup.

Yeah, it's a really hard choice this week. Each act had a high point and a low point and I'm hard pressed to guess who will actually be kicked out.

Tamyra blew it with her first song so, I agree with Ed, that she may very well have fallen below her usual (I assume) number one spot. Nikki, who one would expect to be the bottom did very well tonight. Will it save her? I don't know, I don't think she has the fan base to keep her alive. Justin I'd love to see gone but he was on par with Nikki, I think.

If I had to give points and choose the loser that way, I'd say Tamyra because she really blew it with her first song, but we know that's not going to happen.
