Alannah Myles dirty little secret

I came across this article the other day....

I think Alannah Myles should be more concerned that she was beaten soundly in the CFNY 1982 battle of bands by a group called 'Sphincter'. The annual talent contest run by the Canadian radio station featured a night-by-night 'playoff' between bands. The DJ had a bit of fun as he announced 'Sphincter blew away Alannah Myles.' This was long before her 'successful career' but could explain a lot.

BTW...Does anybody remember seeing her on late night Hamilton TV in the early 80's? Good for a laugh.
