Theres a version of 'Nothing Else Matters' done on a harp of all things. (Caral Tatum is the artist, I think.) I can only image the judge's reaction when someone wheels the harp out on stage for Metallica night. I've tried to imagine adding Chris's vocals to it (or Katherine's).

I was in my car today listening to the radio and Crazy on You came on and I thought- why not do a night of the music of Heart? Every time one of the contestants has sung a Heart song, they have been successful with it, the band has 15 years of hits to choose from and I would love to see Ann and Nancy giving tips to the idols.

Then I've got bad new for you. The American Songbook is mostly Broadway show music, except that the majority of it was written before 1950. Most of music from the last Broadway night was more recent, much more recent and not really anywhere near as well writen. (E.g., something sung on the Broadway stage by Jennifer Holiday is most probably known because JH is very talented, not because the writer of the song was.)
